The Alumni Support Specialist is an entry level position within alumni services. The specialist establishes relationships with current clients and maintains professional relationships/contact with clients completing treatment, post discharge. The Alumni Support Specialist may accompany clients when they go offsite for scheduled activities and is involved in event planning and facilitation.

Requirements
- At least one (1) year of experience in the substance abuse or behavioral health field
- Event planning or hospitality experience a plus
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
- Establishes supportive, emphatic, and professional relationship with current clients for purposes of post treatment engagement and alumni involvement
- Attends/supports/organizes alumni meetings, as scheduled and upon request
- Attends/supports/organizes alumni events (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
- Attends/supports/organizes Days of Ascent dates, as scheduled and upon request
- Facilitates/organizes weekly alumni speaker meeting, as scheduled and upon request
- Adheres to and executes outreach schedule, as set forth by Director of Alumni Services
- Assists with the reduction of client AMA/ACA
- Assist with obtaining alumni reviews (i.e. Google, Yelp, etc.)
- Maintains daily accurate documentation of all alumni outreach attempts in CRM software
- Executes/records alumni outcomes surveys
- Execute and assist all patient discharge surveys including successful completions, AMA, ASA, and clinical transfers/administrative discharges.
- Facilitates/organizes evening activities for clients (i.e. trivia, tournaments, movie nights etc.), if applicable
- Write reports on the program for management, as scheduled and upon request
- Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Attends in-service training, when necessary.
- Attitude demonstrates a positive approach and commitment reflecting professionalism and ethical standards.
- Maintains HIPAA confidentiality of all clientele (past, present, future)
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or director.
