As a specialist in highways, site development, and underground utilities, this role requires a detail-oriented professional who can assess project scope, conduct site visits, obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing, and develop accurate cost estimates throughout various project phases.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with HCSS Heavy Bid (Estimating) and Heavy Job (Project Management) software, as well as the ability to utilize Agtek Earthwork 4D takeoff software. They will also be able to interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents, and possess familiarity with self-perform work and estimating labor, equipment, and materials.
This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project transitions, communicate effectively with owners, construction managers, and general contractors, and maintain strong industry relationships. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and a minimum of five years of experience estimating heavy highway, site development, earthmoving, and underground utility or water/wastewater projects.
