Description
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the receiving and processing of purchase orders
- Hiring and training new parts specialists
- Ensuring that sales transaction invoices are issued promptly
- Creating and/or refining all procedures relating to ordering, shipping, receiving, inventorying, and procuring heavy machinery parts
- Contacting customers by phone, email or in person to answer queries and solve problems that parts specialists are not authorized to solve independently
- Maintaining and updating sales and customer records
- Compiling monthly sales reports and providing them to executive leadership:
- Fill rates by customer, branch and manufacturer
- Gross margin by customer, branch, manufacturer
- Parts sales trends by branch and manufacturer
- Ensuring that each parts department meets sales expectations and KPI’s
- Conducting branch reviews of monthly results with parts team
- Expediting orders through internal liaison
- Directing feedback from customers to relevant departments
- Identifying new products to add to those on offer
- Performing other duties as requested by executive management
- Completes repair tickets accurately and thoroughly, indicating work completed and any needed follow-up
- Communicates services and repairs performed to the customer in a professional manner

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- This position requires frequent travel either by automobile or small-engine airplane that includes overnight stays.
- Periods of sitting while driving or performing desk work using computer technology
- Ability to open boxes using a box knife
- Periods of reaching, standing, walking, squatting, twisting, bending to move parts or stock inventory
- Must be able to work indoors or outdoors under a variety of temperatures and weather conditions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5 years of experience working with heavy construction machinery parts in the construction industry or related
- 5 years of supervisory experience
- 3 years of inventory experience
- 3 years of customer service experience
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Software and other software solutions. EXTEND experience a plus!
- Valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record
