G2 Planning Design is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Landscape Architect / Designer, with 3-5 years of experience, to join our design team. Responsibilities
We are looking for a driven, well-rounded landscape architect / designer who can develop projects, within a team, from concept to construction.
Will play an active role in the design process from concept through construction.
Will assist and / or manage projects through the planning and zoning process, with direction and guidance from a firm principal or senior project manager.
May be needed to attend evening meetings with municipal zoning boards / etc. on intermittent basis.
Effective time management, prioritization of tasks, ability to work effectively with other disciplines, and work flexibility are keys to being successful at this position.
Will be comfortable and effective at communicating / presenting design concepts to team members and / or clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program.
3-5 years of professional experience.
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Sketchup are required. Experience with Lumion is favorable.
Advanced understanding of landscape and urban design, with refined graphic skills and focus on design.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills are necessary.
Strong work ethic and workplace organization skills.
Continually strives to learn and grow within a team-oriented environment.
Proven experience producing drawings from the schematic stage through construction documentation.
Self-motivated with the ability and desire to lead others in the design and documentation.
- Familiarity with the planning & zoning process, landscape plant varieties in Ohio, and with construction documentation and means / methods of construction.
A Professional Landscape Architects license is desired but not required.
