Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and guest relations.
- Lead, inspire, and support front-of-house staff to deliver outstanding hospitality and uphold the restaurant’s fine dining service standards.
- Manage reservations and guest flow efficiently using modern systems while maintaining optimal table turns and guest satisfaction.
- Utilize Toast POS to monitor sales, manage orders, track reporting, and resolve any technical or transactional issues promptly.
- Support inventory management efforts, including ordering, receiving, and tracking usage of food, beverage, and operating supplies; ensure accuracy in stock levels.
- Assist with scheduling and labor management, ensuring adequate coverage while maintaining budgeted labor costs and compliance with labor laws.
- Address guest feedback and resolve complaints with professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to exceptional service recovery.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Executive Chef to implement strategies that drive revenue, streamline operations, and enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining room, host stand, restrooms, and service areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Support training and onboarding of new staff, and provide ongoing mentorship and performance feedback to foster growth and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, health codes, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a full-service or fine dining restaurant; high-volume restaurant experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Toast POS, including reporting tools, menu management, and training staff on usage.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house service, food safety protocols, and labor management.
- Experience with staff scheduling platforms (e.g., 7Shifts, HotSchedules, etc.) and labor cost tracking.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Calm and solution-oriented under pressure, with excellent conflict resolution and guest service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by business needs.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent is a plus.
