Job Overview:

The Stockroom Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stockroom, ensuring efficient inventory management, and leading the stockroom team to achieve organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or inventory management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet operational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of stockroom inventory.
• Ensure accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits.
• Maintain inventory records and update the inventory management system.
• Coordinate with purchasing and other departments to manage inventory levels.
• Supervise and lead stockroom staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Schedule and assign daily tasks to stockroom personnel.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop and implement stockroom procedures and policies to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
• Monitor and manage stockroom supplies and equipment.
• Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet customer and production needs.
• Resolve any issues related to order discrepancies or delays.
• Prepare and maintain stockroom reports and documentation.
• Provide regular updates to the Warehouse Manager on stockroom activities and performance.
• Ensure proper documentation of all stockroom transactions.
