Auto Repair Shop Manager – Gales Auto Repair
Location: Saginaw, MI
Compensation: Competitive salary performance-based bonuses
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Are you a leader in the automotive industry looking to take the next step in your career? Gales Auto Repair, a high-volume, multi-location auto repair shop, is seeking a Store Manager to oversee operations, drive sales, and build a high-performing team.
You MUST have experience in the automotive repair industry to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Oversee daily shop operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
✅ Manage and lead a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff
✅ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), labor efficiency, and shop profitability
✅ Develop and implement strategies to grow sales and increase customer retention
✅ Ensure exceptional customer service by handling inquiries, disputes, and service recommendations
✅ Manage parts, inventory, and vendor relationships to optimize shop efficiency
✅ Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Qualifications & Experience:
✔MUST have 5 years of experience in the automotive repair industry (Technician, Service Writer, or Shop Manager)
✔ MUST have a high level of patience – able to handle customers, employees, and day-to-day shop challenges with professionalism
✔MUST have strong attention to detail – ensuring work is done accurately and efficiently
✔MUST be able to multitask – managing workflow, employees, and customer service without losing efficiency
✔ MUST have a growth mindset – continuously improving processes, training staff, and increasing revenue
✔MUST have strong computer skills – ability to navigate shop management software and digital tools
✔ MUST have a great attendance record – reliability is key to keeping operations running smoothly
✔ Strong leadership and team management skills – ability to coach, train, and hold employees accountable
✔ Knowledge of shop operations including labor sales, pricing strategies, and cost control
✔Sales and customer service experience – ability to upsell and maximize revenue
✔ Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
✔ Valid driver’s license required
