Join our team! Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community located between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro in Chatham County, NC. We are currently seeking a Full-time Recruiting Specialist to join our team! Under the direction of the Senior Director of Human Resources & Administrative Services, the Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for the full life cycle recruiting and developing strategies to help attract and retain talent.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manages the full life cycle recruiting process including but not limited to partnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and creating or revising job descriptions as necessary, source candidates, conduct phone screenings, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, and initiate offers of employment. Ensures accurate and current records within the applicant tracking system throughout the recruitment process.
- Researches and develops innovative recruitment strategies fostering our employment brand to help attract talent and fulfill talent needs. Engage in promotional events including career/college fairs, industry meet ups, hackathons, networking events, etc. to learn and/or develop skills aligned to emerging trends and best practices in recruiting. Recommend and develop innovative opportunities for advancement and career pathways for team members.
- Coordinate the pre-hire process with the HR Specialist ensuring a positive/streamlined process for candidates and hiring managers.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director, Human Resources to develop starting offer based on FLS, equity and compensation strategy.
- Manage weekly open positions report and ad hoc reporting.
- Conducts annual I9 audit.
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Human Resources. All other duties assigned include, but not limited to, enhancing the Resident Experience.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of recruiting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of and experience utilizing HRIS applications and Applicant Tracking Systems. Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
- Requires prior knowledge of human resources practices and principles.
- Requires the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain data integrity, using internal ATS to track and analyze pipeline activity, proactively providing updates and insights with hiring managers, leveraging strong communication skills across multiple formats.
- Growth mindset and an ability to adapt to changing dynamics as needed.
- Excellent customer service and attention to details. Strong acumen to build relationships with hiring managers.
- Experience in CCRCs or Senior Living is a plus.
- Requires independent judgement and the ability to make sound decisions on significant matters after considering the options available.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- PHR & SHRM-CP certification preferred.
