POSITION : Part Time CE Grant Navigator
POSITION AVAILABLE : Spring 2025
JOB SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Director of Continuing Education, the Grant Navigator is responsible for recruiting program participants and supporting them throughout their journey to successful program completion. This role involves building relationships with employers in industries such as craft / trade, construction, utilities, municipal services, and manufacturing across the Gulf Coast region.
As a key liaison, the Grant Navigator connects students to campus resources and services, which will be critical in collecting the essential data needed to monitor program progress. The position also includes assisting with the facilitation, coordination, and implementation of student support services aimed at enhancing student success, improving retention, and boosting course completion, graduation, and / or transfer rates. Additionally, the Grant Navigator will work directly with the Director to track student performance and ensure compliance with all grant reporting requirements, including the confidential storage of student records.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Associate degree or higher or 2-4 years of work experience in a craft / trade, or a closely related area;
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of integrated software systems and Microsoft Office applications; specifically Excel;
- Demonstrated skills in recruiting, networking business, and community services;
- Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and the public;
- Ability to work effectively within an ethnic, cultural, and socially diverse student population;
- Grant experience a plus;
- Ability to communicate and facilitate learning effectively and work collaboratively;
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to students and respond to questions from individuals as well as groups of students;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interaction with students, peers, administration, and staff.
