Ganneston Construction is a 100% woman-owned company providing building construction services to clients in Maine.
Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the lead estimator with all facets of the bidding process and assisting project managers during buyout. May also be responsible for taking on project management duties on smaller construction projects.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supports lead estimator with hard bids, conceptual budgets and various administrative services.
- Prepares and maintains a directory of suppliers, subcontractors and contractors.
- Registers with owners/architects for specific projects.
- Provides information for bid bonds.
- Obtains bid documents, tracks addenda, and submits RFIs and uploads to online portal for subcontractor and supplier access.
- Assists in determining scopes of work for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Solicits and reviews subcontractors and supplier quotes.
- Performs quantity takeoffs.
- Assists in the development of project budgets, subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
- Assists in the development of project schedules.
- Assists in project turnover.
- Performs administrative tasks to support the estimating department, project managers and field personnel.
- Adheres to all corporate policies and federal, state and local labor and safety regulations.
- Represents the company in a professional manner both internally and externally.
Position Requirements:
Degree in Construction Management or Architecture preferred or 5 years of relevant experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
