Key Contributions:
This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Supervise the receiving department by providing departmental oversight, delegation of tasks, training for new employees, and resolving material discrepancies.
- Efficiently unload inbound trucks/unpack items received.
- Verify received quantities and compare to PO for accuracy and approved vendor list (AVL).Identify non-conforming goods and communicate with appropriate buyers and support the coordination for returns/repairs.
- Forty-eight-hour turn from receiving material and entering data into the ERP system.
- Correctly identify, tag, move, and stage all production material in the order required by Manufacturing.
- Control deliveries and pick-up of goods and materials in the most expedient, cost-effective manner possible.
- Keep active inventory list up-to-date and posted for all parties to reduce inventory levels.
- Monitor and control operational costs.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize process.
- A positive and cooperative attitude and reliable attendance.

- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with shipping and receiving responsibilities is required.
- Strong leadership abilities and technical experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills is required.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as MS Office and ERP systems is required.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a heavy manufacturing environment is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment is required.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is preferred.
- The ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is required.
- The ability to remain organized with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is required.
- The ability to work independently, to prioritize tasks and to meet deadlines utilizing excellent time management skills is required.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal/conflict resolution skills are required.
