What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bathroom Remodeler - Guest House Renovation position at Gateland East LLC?
Looking for an experienced bathroom remodeler to completely renovate a guest house bathroom. This is a hands-on position requiring skill in multiple aspects of bathroom renovation including plumbing, tiling, fixture installation, and finishing work. We may have a plumber if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Remove existing bathroom fixtures, flooring, and wall coverings
- Install new plumbing fixtures (toilet, sink, shower/tub)
- Lay tile for flooring and shower/tub surround
- Install vanity, medicine cabinet, and bathroom accessories
- Apply waterproofing materials where needed
- Install new drywall or backer board as needed
- Paint and finish walls
- Ensure proper water connections and drainage
- Complete basic electrical work related to bathroom fixtures
- Clean up work area daily and maintain a safe environment
- Communicate progress and any issues that arise
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in bathroom remodeling or similar construction work
- Knowledge of plumbing, tiling, and basic electrical work
- Ability to read and follow construction plans
- Experience with proper waterproofing techniques for bathrooms
- Skilled in proper installation of bathroom fixtures
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Own basic tools required for bathroom renovation
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds
Schedule:
- This is a project-based position
- Estimated project duration: 2-3 weeks
