Discover a place where wonder, adventure and relaxation meet. Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa rests on 180 acres in the red rock canyons of western Colorado. 72 room luxury Resort with amenities that include lodging, dining, UTV and Jeep tours, horseback riding, full service spa & air tours.


Promote and sell to group market in defined geographic region. Generate hotel/resort awareness through direct phones sales; direct sales calls, trade shows and networking groups. Work closely with sales and marketing team to solicit, sell and confirm group business required to meet budgeted sales goals. Candidate should possess the ability to solicit group travel. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion on decision-making. This position is based in-market, not onsite.


• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

• Assist the Team in all upcoming tasks within Sales & Marketing but also beyond.

• Explore new sources of business by developing new contacts.

• Seek and contact new potential clients through: direct inquiry, sales lead, sales blitz

• Be responsible for room night and revenue production from allocated accounts

• Entertain potential corporate companies and in-house guests to ensure future business to the hotel

• Monitor own accounts' monthly production

• Monitor competitors' performance where it relates to their particular market segment

• Update all Delphi Sales account profiles and follow-up to maintain a proper profile of all accounts

• Attend daily sales briefings and weekly sales meetings

• Participate in familiarization visits and entertain as and when required

• Conduct on site inspections for the existing or prospective travel influencers, decision makers and end users

• Be aware of current market trends and supply competitor activity information to the Director of Sales & Marketing

• Participate in sales trips and, when required, complete all sales reports within 1 week of trip

• Prepare weekly sales call reports

• Promote seasonal packages and any promotion to major supporters

• Participate in any projects as and when assigned by the department head

• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head


  

Salaried position $70,000-$75,000/year plus commission

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years working experience in the hotel industry

• Able to liaise effectively with designated market segment accounts

• Knowledge of market segment

• Excellent presentation and proactive communication skills

• Computer literate

• High Flexibility and ability to work under pressure

• Possess a friendly, energized and outgoing personality.

• Prioritization skills necessary to meet deadlines.

• Strong Team Player.

• Able to work concentrated and effective under pressure.

• Must possess ability to coordinate with multiple tasks.

• Excellent English communication skills both written/verbal.

• Must have the ability to take minutes/dictation.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

• Possess high degree of stamina, agility and flexibility.

• Takes initiative

• Self-motivated
