General Laborer

Summary

Performs a wide range of duties and services, mainly at the Prairie Du Rocher location and occasionally other Gateway FS facilities. Primary responsibility will be loading dry fertilizer/anhydrous ammonia and grain elevator operations. Other duties shall include, but are not limited to, maintenance, deliveries, operating equipment, and the handling of: chemicals, fertilizer, and petroleum products.

Essential Job Functions

· Handle, load, and deliver: Anhydrous Ammonia, dry fertilizer, and feed.

· Unload and load grain trucks.

· Assist in sales and marketing of all products.

· Unloading and loading of fertilizer, seed, feed, and chemical products.

· Operating equipment such as: forklift, loader, and trucks.

· Perform housekeeping and maintenance to all equipment, vehicles, and facilities.

· Work at various other locations as directed.

Desired Qualifications

· High school diploma/GED or a one year minimum of related work experience.

· Experienced in basic mechanical work.

· Basic computer skills.

· Current Class A or B CDL (or the ability to obtain a CDL), DOT Physical, and Drug Test.

· Must be willing to work seasonally long hours and overtime when needed.

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

· Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl for various lengths of time.

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
