Position Overview:
The Controller will report directly to the CFO. He/she will be responsible for all Accounting, Controlling, Treasury and Tax functions of the company and support the CFO and Senior Leadership Team on growing our US business. This role will also assist in the preparation of the company’s PE sponsor and lender financial reporting. The individual selected for this position will interact with all levels of management, ensure timely and accurate reporting and assist with multiple financial projects and initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely single-company and consolidated financial statements in accordance with company policy and GAAP.
- Review monthly financial statements and trend analyses to ensure completeness and accuracy of results; prepare and/or support the analysis of financial data; provide insightful reports to Senior Leadership Team and FP&A Team to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with the FP&A Team to ensure that narrative explanations of financial results accurately reflect management's understanding of the company’s financial performance.
- Collect, analyze, evaluate, and interpret complex information and data in support of proper financial statement treatment and relevant disclosure requirements.
- Review new, unusual, and nonrecurring transactions to determine proper accounting treatment; prepare supporting documentation, schedules, and accounting analysis thereof.
Accounting Operations:
- Manage accounting operations and general ledger to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial statements; ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Supervise day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, and payroll posting.
- Analyze intercompany transactions and balances, reconciling discrepancies and resolving any issues to ensure proper elimination of intercompany accounts during consolidation. Perform monthly intercompany billing.
- Evaluate and implement tools to optimize the reporting and consolidation process.
Treasury Management:
- Oversee treasury management across all subsidiaries and manage day-to-day banking relationships.
- Review and approve bank reconciliations; ensure that stale dated items are addressed and reconciling items are appropriate and reasonable.
- Ensure the company meets all vendor obligations pursuant to contracts, purchase orders, or letter agreements as necessary.
- Proactively manage the company’s liquidity position and create liquidity forecasts on a regular basis.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in financial leadership.
- Solid progression of people and project leadership experience.
- Program management experience, including effective use of internal controls and providing stakeholder leadership.
- ERP system expertise required, middle market ERP systems knowledge (QuickBooks, Sage 100, NetSuite) preferred.
- Must have successfully taken a company through an ERP system migration.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Suite required.
- Solid team player with the ability to work independently in a confident, deliberate and productive manner.
- Ability to research issues and arrive at logical well-documented analysis and conclusions.
- Effective verbal and written communicator with both financial and non-financial individuals.
- Comfortable presenting to all levels of the business.
- Successful experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

- Strong knowledge of US GAAP principles, financial reporting requirements, and internal control frameworks.

Salary : $230,000
