Position : Fabrication Painter
Summary : The Fabrication Painter runs a project from start to finish Independently. The Fab Painter creates layouts, and finishes treatment of scenery, or other projects, as directed by the shop foreman. This fabricator works with wood, steel, plastics, paints, and other materials as required, and performs the application of finish treatments of different materials. The Fabrication Painter reports to the Director of Operation.

Major Responsibilities
Supervision
- Ensure departmental goals of safety, quality, productivity, utilization, costs, and delivery schedules are met.
- Keep and operate a clean and safe workspace.
Project Planning and Design
Read and interpret plans to produce quality products.Schedule production activities and maintain inventory to increase production and quality.Inspect work to verify finishes.Painting
Perform repair materials for finish.Application of finish material error-free.Attendance
Attendance is an essential requirement for this position.Any Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisor

Education / Certificates
High School Diploma or GEDValid Driver’s License – Good Driving RecordExperience
3 years or more of shop experience.Skills / Abilities
Familiarity with the operation of all shop paint spraying equipment, air compressors, and paint canisters.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Understanding of basic Theatre terminology.Understanding of basic shop safety terminology.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
