Senior Process Improvement Engineer (2nd shift)

How You'll Create Possibilities
Equipment Leadership
- Own and optimize all equipment and tooling in your production area.
- Troubleshoot process issues and partner with maintenance to enhance Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
- Drive robust Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) plans, ensuring long-term equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with calibration standards and manufacturing specifications.
- Develop and enhance preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
- Investigate and resolve safety, quality, and delivery issues with data-driven solutions.
- Spearhead equipment upgrades and process improvements, presenting clear capital expense justifications.
- Lead kaizen activities, implementing Poka-Yoke methods and workstation aids for enhanced operator performance.
- Collaborate with Lean and operations teams to rebalance work areas and drive efficiency.
- Share best practices across the organization to promote sustainable improvement.
- Identify and implement safety enhancements in your area.
- Support incident investigations and ergonomic assessments, ensuring corrective actions are executed effectively.
- Act as the “voice of the plant” for equipment purchases and process qualifications.
- Provide critical feedback on manufacturability and capacity for new product launches.
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration into production.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years in manufacturing engineering, operations, or quality support roles.
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting (unionized environment preferred).
- Flexibility to a different shift
- Expertise in appliances manufacturing, thermoforming, and extrusion.
- Knowledge of PLC controls, robotics, PMs, and welding techniques.
- Lean manufacturing experience; Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Take ownership of innovative equipment and processes in a high-volume production environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges.
- Be at the forefront of process improvements, driving meaningful change every day.
