Position Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is primarily responsible for accounts receivable processes which primarily include invoicing, posting and settling customer payments, AR collections communications and bank account reconciliations. This position interacts extensively with our customers and our sales, ops and customer service teams. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, friendly and courteous and have exemplary organizational and time management skills and an ability to shift between tasks seamlessly. This position will be required to be in office 70% of the time.

Responsibilities:

· Create and send sales invoices to customers

· Enter invoices into customer payment portals when required

· Apply customer payments to sales invoices in accounting system including researching and resolving any discrepancies

· Process credit card payments and refunds through Authorize.net

· Coordinate with Customer Service and Account Reps as needed to resolve invoicing issues & refund requests

· Process credit memos as required

· Follow up with customers on collection of past due invoices

· Maintain customer master files

· Communicate with Account Reps, customers and management regarding status of accounts receivable

· Assist in month end closing process as needed

· Research and resolve open account balances

· Other projects as assigned by management

· Understanding of basic accounting concepts including debits and credits, journal entries and general ledger and subledgers.

· Computer savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly and troubleshoot issues and input/verify information in various software platforms.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite with advanced Excel skills.

· Ability to follow oral and written instructions

· Personable and friendly

· Thrive in a high growth, fast paced environment

· Organized and thorough

Experience:

· Minimum 2 years' experience with accounting software (including AR and General Ledger)

· Experience with integrated ERP systems - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system is a plus.

Education:

· High school diploma

· Basic accounting courses or equivalent experience

· College degree helpful but not required

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Prolonged periods of typing and hand/wrist movements to operate a computer mouse

· Viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time.

· Talking, listening, reading
