Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Dietitian to provide exceptional outpatient nutrition services on a per diem basis.
The ideal candidate will deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nutritional therapy that adheres to the highest standards set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of individual nutrition needs by reviewing dietary histories, medical records, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
- Develop tailored nutrition care plans addressing dietary requirements, meal patterns, and enteral or parenteral feeding compositions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to establish patient care goals.
- Document initial assessments and progress in medical records according to established standards.
- Evaluate patients' nutritional statuses and suggest optimal care strategies.
- Provide counseling to individuals, families, and caregivers on normal nutrition and therapeutic diets, considering varied backgrounds.
- Conduct group nutrition classes as necessary.
- Write nutrition-related orders for hospitalized patients following Clinical Nutrition protocols.
- Advocate for individuals and groups on nutrition-related issues and available resources.
- Assist in planning for continued nutrition care post-discharge using ancillary resources.
- Facilitate referrals and implement quality assurance activities to ensure outstanding service outcomes.
- Utilize electronic tools for practice documentation, research, and education.
This position is hybrid, allowing flexibility to work from home after a training period of 1-2 days, contingent upon continued telemedicine support.
Position Details:
- Work is primarily performed in a clinical environment.
- Hours: Day shifts.
- No weekend shifts required.
- Only non-major holidays are expected to be worked.
