What We Offer
As our Accounting Director, you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, ensure compliance with financial regulations, optimize financial processes, and provide strategic financial guidance. Managing a team of three, you will take a hands-on leadership approach across the accounting functions to support billing, certified payroll, AR / AP, purchasing, and financial reporting. This role requires close collaboration with the Sales, Project Management, Production, and Installation teams to maintain a smooth financial process.
You"ll work directly with the President to deliver high quality financial reports and continuously enhance accounting practices and processes to support working capital management and growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the accounting team: oversee hiring, training, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance: Maintain adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Maintain clean financials: Oversee monthly reconciliations, prepare financial statements, and manage the annual financial review and tax filings.
- Drive process improvement: Streamline invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and reporting.
- Budgeting & forecasting: Support leadership in long-term financial planning and risk management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with key departments to optimize accounting operations for project invoicing and materials purchasing.
- Bachelor"s Degree (preferred) or 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial compliance, and tax regulations.
- Comfort with learning and navigating financial technology systems.
- Ability to analyze financial performance and support data-drive decision making.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Reach, push, pull, bend, squat.
- Valid driver"s license.
- Wear personal protective equipment, when required (e.g. safety glasses, hard hats).
- Work in loud environments.
