As an Analyst, the ideal candidate will be motivated by helping our production-oriented site unleash scientific innovation in radical ways, and seek career placement at our Oceanside campus in one of these technical areas.
Candidates will work in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment on technical and scientific projects alongside technical experts at the site. You will participate in rotations that are tailored to provide challenging and meaningful assignments while working in a highly collaborative, matrixed organization while also providing targeted training in technical and leadership skills. Success of the selected candidates will be further supported through coaching and mentoring with the rotation manager and technical subject matter experts. The technical areas of focus will include process automation, process science and process engineering. The preferred candidates will exemplify a strong academic performance and a passion for innovative thinking combined with the desire to grow their career within the technical operations/manufacturing function of biotech.
Job Responsibilities
Provide technical support for all associated Make-Assess-Release activities, including implementation of technical changes, trouble-shooting operations/equipment, corrective action and assessment of discrepant incidents impacting manufacturing materials, methods and equipment
Work in cross functional teams to develop and implement solutions to address any gaps or areas of improvement in GMP operations
Ensure the integration of environmental health, safety, and security into the business processes, systems, and programs while reporting safety and environmental incidents including injuries, illnesses, and safety suggestions within one’s functional area. Fosters a positive safety culture in which no one gets hurt
May support ongoing projects that require specialized training in areas such as automation, data monitoring and analysis, root cause analysis, risk review, scheduling, etc.
Embraces open communication, teamwork and transparency by aligning efforts and knowledge sharing
Working on process, equipment, automation or methods that directly impact production
May provide support for non-routine maintenance activities
May serve on multiple cross-functional projects or teams
Job Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences or Engineering
2 years' industry and/or academic experience with Bachelor’s degree
Proven knowledge and practical experience with core regulatory requirements
Proven communication, interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Demonstrated proficiency in the application of basic manufacturing, engineering, and/or scientific theories, principles, and techniques used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes
Demonstrated technical proficiency, leadership, creativity, and strategic thinking
Practical and theoretical expertise in biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes engineering and applied technologies
Work Environment / Physical Demands / Safety Considerations
Work in office and, to a lesser extent, laboratory environment
May be on feet for 4 to 5 hours a day
Lifting up to 25lbs may be required
May work in the clean room environment that requires gowning in the form of hospital scrubs, bunny suits, gloves and steel toe boots. No makeup or jewelry can be worn when working in the clean room environment
May work with hazardous materials and chemicals

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oceanside CA is $65,900-$122,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
