What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiation Control Analyst position at General Dynamics Electric Boat?
Radiological Health Analyst will prepare radiation health reports, assist in the setup/administration of area monitoring and environmental TLD program, assist in emergency response, including operation of personnel and medical decontamination facilities both here and at the Submarine Base, New London.
Responsibilities of the role also include, but are not limited to:
- supporting the radiation laboratory in the shipyard and at the SUBASE
- support of byproduct material compliance
- providing oversight of medical records at both the shipyard and SUBASE
- supporting external and internal dosimetry programs
- becoming a National Voluntary Laboratory Accredited approved signatory for our dosimetry programs.
- Associate of Science or technical field
- Experience in radiological controls
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
- Radiological Health degree
- Naval Nuclear Propulsion program experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization and writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Multi-tasking/work prioritizing
