Primary Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures
- General Machining Skills
- Basic Computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Accurately record/input assembly and teardown data and findings into computer
- Read blueprints utilizing geometric tolerancing and specifications
- Perform vehicle alterations for Engineering's prototype parts
- Work with Production, Engineering and peers in a team environment
- Written & Verbal Communication Skills
- Component Installation/Removal
- Oil Changes/Grease, Including Oil Weighs
- Tire Change and Balance
- Wheel Alignments
- Welding and Fabrication
- Diagnose Mechanical Failures and Repair
- Diagnose Electrical Problems and Repair to Include Wiring Repairs
- Read and Interpret Schematics Drawings
- MDI Usage or Equivalent Diagnostic Tool
- Road Test Vehicles (dynamic evaluation)
- Vehicle Scrapping
- Torque Checks and Scribing
- Data Logger Install, Removal and Checks
- Major Removal of Equipment for Access
- Vehicle HVAC Repair
- Installation of Halon Systems
- Wrecker Operations
- Chauffer's License
- Inspect/Document Vehicles Condition
- Clutch Pedal Effort & Throttle Pedal Effort
- Scheduled Periodic Component Measurement
- Vehicle Numbering ID

Additional Job Description
Interested individuals must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as an Assembler Inspector or Experimental Auto Journeyperson or six (6) years of documented experience in a related field such as Vehicle Mechanic or Vehicle Technician (notarized documentation required)
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which includecomprehensive assessments, hair drug testing, and a background check
- At least 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work flexible shift hours and day, afternoon, or night shifts as well as overtime hours daily, weekend and holidays on those shifts with little notice
