Job Description

Lead a team and provide employee development, training, and drive the performance management process as well as manage an efficient organizational structure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Guides of one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.

Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers

  • Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production

  • Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.

  • Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership

  • Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.

  • Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.

  • Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.

  • Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.

  • Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.

  • Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions

Additional Job Description

Responsible for providing direction, coordination, and follow-up necessary to the administration of scheduling within the plant. Supervises the GEPICS Coordinators, Engineering Change Coordinators, and Production Trial Run Coordinators.
  • Maintain MGO operating plan and utilize other scheduling controls as appropriate to support plant scheduling requirements
  • Coordinates the replacement orders for miss-builds and scrap units
  • Maintains and monitors the corporate "vin" procedure
  • Participates in weekly Order Fulfillment discussions
  • Maintains "auto sequence" rules
    • Spacing
    • Batch painting
    • Option leveling to improve assembly productivity
  • Participates in planning of special builds and PTR's
  • Controls "MGO" pull ahead, line fill and lean controls
  • Implements, monitors, and maintains GMS elements
  • Interfaces with marketing division for:
    • Expedite requests
    • Order changes
    • Diversions
    • Unique customer satisfaction issues
  • Answers vehicle inquiries from zones, dealers, customers & employees
  • Communicates and generates all parts lists for special builds (i.e. MVB's, new options, paints, model change)
  • Make order changes when requested (dealer code changes, option changes)
  • Develops and communicates "build to plan" initiatives
    • Publishes performance
    • Maintains scorecard /Business Plan Deployment charts
  • Work with plant planner to manage the plant restriction table to ensure rule feasibility and implementation; analyze new requests for spacing rules with option forecasts prior to new rules being added; communicate information to order fulfillment on any rule changes
  • Utilize GEPICS system for reporting and analysis; provide reporting to assist with quality containments and holds
  • Assist with special order tracking, VIP orders, expedites and other specific order follow-up for requestors
  • Monitor and ensure all related impacts to production systems are root caused with permanent corrective action.

Required
  • Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
  • High level of analytical ability and problem solving
  • Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required.
  • Above average oral and written communication skills required

Preferred
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle scheduling
  • Knowledge of computer software as it pertains to Mainframe applications, GEPICS, MGO
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years' experience in plant material operations or vehicle scheduling

Education and Training
  • College degree with a focus in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
