Generations Healthcare is searching for a Business Office Operations Specialist to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Business Office Operations Specialist is instrumental in improving the productivity of an existing workforce in relation to revenue cycle processes. The assigned duties include, but are not limited to, creating reference materials, training employees, and providing process support. The Business Office Operations Specialist works with the business office team to help foster talent, retain employees, and create a positive company culture. This role requires laser focus on finding ways to work smarter not harder, while maintaining integrity, compliance, and maximizing collections success.
Essential Functions:
- Creates training materials and reference tools to aide employees in work performance, policy &
- procedure compliance, and adherence to the values of Generations Healthcare.
- Assists with online courses either self-guided, video conferencing, or in-person training sessions.
- Loads and maintains e-learning materials for our Educational Programs through company training platforms.
- Provides training, support, and coaching on revenue cycle processes and responsibilities to help improve departmental performance and compliance.
- Conducts new hire onboarding training series for various business office staff positions.
- Updates training and development programs.
- Stays current on industry changes and state/federal regulations and laws.
- Participates in Month-end reviews as part of the inspection process of adherence to Company required processes and completion of month-end close.
- Regularly reviews and audits facility revenue cycle processes to monitor adherence to standardized procedures and compliance with company policies, specifically to manage staying up to date and third-party audit ready.
- Performs other assigned duties or projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of SNF industry standards.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to both small and large groups.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse teams.
- Proven track record of taking initiative and driving results.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Experienced in hosting large-scale video conferencing meetings and training sessions.
- Flexible with work hours and willing to adapt to different schedules.
- Willing to travel, including overnight trips, as needed.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of Business Office Manager experience in a Skilled Nursing/Post-Acute setting.
- Extensive knowledge of PointClickCare (PCC).
- Experience with AR Operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; BA degree is preferred.
- Speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
- This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
