What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Foreman position at Geneva Implement Inc?
The Shop Foreman will supervise employees engaged in repairing and maintaining equipment. Assists Service Manager in coordinating and directing workload of the Service Department for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality repair work. Advises and recommends technician skills and training needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Instruct, assist and train service technicians in best practices of equipment repair and safety
· Perform inspections of completed repairs to ensure thorough and quality of work performed
· Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes
· Assist in working with technicians in obtaining certification and complete training needs
· Performs repairs and maintenance for company vehicles and equipment.
· Maintains database of maintenance and repair records for company vehicles and equipment.
· Oversees shop inventory; orders parts, shop supplies, and equipment.
· Ensures all applicable safety standards and regulations are followed in facility.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Strong knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of agricultural equipment

Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Five years of related experience preferred.
· Case IH technician experience preferred.
· Vocational or technical school training preferred.
· Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to physically perform repairs.
· Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
· Good vision to inspect repair work.
· Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
