George Reed, Inc has an excitng opportunity for a Contract Administrator. The successful candidate will oversee the contract administration team, ensuring the efficient management and execution of contracts to support our business operations. The ideal candidate will also mentor and train the team.
- Expected and accountable to maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional when interacting with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
- Attendance, communication and detail oriented is an essential function of this position.
- Compose correspondence efficiently and accurately.
- Knowledgeable and able to perform all tasks within the department
- Able to prepare prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders and various other contractual documents.
- Assures monthly job billings and subcontractor sub-payments are completed accurately prior to Month end deadlines.
- Assures GRI and Sub releases are accurate and processed correctly.
- Understands Insurance certificates and endorsements, confirms requirements are met for GRI and their Subcontractors.
- Reviews entire setup of new projects for accuracy and completeness.
- Confirm reports requested from agencies are submitted accurately and on time.
- Request and maintain GRI State/City Business licenses, assure subcontractor licenses are being accurately maintained.
- Guarantees Preliminary Notices are in place for all projects needed.
- Assures all Contractual documents for GRI projects are reviewed and accurate prior to submission.
- Developing a team that works together to produce work timely and efficiently.
- Responsible for preparing yearly staff evaluations.
- Perform and prepare various department audits.
- Special projects as requested or assigned.
- Attend seminars, meetings and classes as requested, to remain knowledgeable in all areas of responsibility.
- May be required to become a Notary Public.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Viewpoint, and other software programs.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proven leadership qualities.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects utilizing organizational skills and communication skills.
- Keen sense of responsibility regarding timely and accurate completion of work, and a strong commitment to corporate goals.
- Must be capable of functioning in fast paced demanding working environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) or equivalent from four-year university preferably in the management area; and/or training; or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ten years’ experience in contracting construction environment, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary : $70,000 - $95,000
