Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Assist in preparation of financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
· Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
· Assisting with monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
· Assisting with the preparation of yearly audits and financial management reports
· Processing payroll, verifying documentation and postings, and reconciling payroll sub-ledgers to the general ledger
· Assist with filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements
· Developing, implementing, modifying, and documenting recordkeeping and accounting systems
· Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
· Keeping management informed of financial status and developments within the company’s financial structure
· Improving job knowledge by keeping up-to-date with new financial regulations and accepted practices, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks

· Education and / or Experience -- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Communication / Language -- Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and intermediate computer literacy. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Mathematical -- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
· Reasoning -- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Computer Literacy / General Office Equipment – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel. Word, Outlook), CARS / Jenzabar System, Paycom. Basic office equipment to include facsimile, copier machines, printer, calculator.
