This position has designated special non-negotiable entry salary of $84,758.74Pay Grade: N
Under broad supervision, the County Director for Coweta County.
- Directs and manages human resources, facilities, budgets and other related systems within the department through a deputy or subordinate administrative manager(s).
- Leads and/or participates in statewide projects and community initiatives as requested.
- Establishes goals, objectives, policies and procedures consistent with the missions of the division, department and region.
- Directs professional staff in developing their skills, delivering quality services and documenting efforts.
- Promotes awareness of programs within the community.
- Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience, which includes two (2) years of subordinate managerial or supervisory experience in a human service delivery program.
OR
Related certification and three (3) years of job related subordinate managerial or supervisory experience in a human service delivery program.
OR
Three (3) years of experience at the lower level Mgr 2, Social Svcs (SSM011) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:
- Master's degree and two (2) years human service work experience which included the supervision of subordinate directors, managers or supervisors in a human services delivery program (Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS), Department of Child Support Services (DCSS), Department of Aging Services (DAS), Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) or comparable agencies.
- Prior work experience in social services programs.
