Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Land Location and Acquisition Coordinator are to (i) serve as the Chairperson of the Location Committee and is responsible for convening the Location Committee in order for its members to select a practical and feasible transmission line route in accordance with O.C.G.A
A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering or engineering technology (civil, mechanical, geomatics, environmental, surveying, electrical, forestry, etc.) is required .
A Professional Engineering license or registered land Surveyor is preferred.
Experience Requirements
3-5 years of Land, Transmission, Environmental, Transmission Construction, and/or Right-of-Way acquisition experience highly preferred.

Job Summary

- 22-3-161; (ii) site substations and generation facilities using the same governing principles; (iii) serve as an expert witness regarding the selected route /site in Special Master Hearings; and (iv) performing project estimates (TEAMS) and progress updates (P6).
- The position is located at Georgia Power Company’s corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia or at a local Georgia Power Operating Headquarters (specific location TBD by hiring manager) and is subject to the company’s hybrid work policy.
- Some overnight travel (up to 50%) is required with this position to participate in Special Master Hearings and/or Location Committee Meetings, conduct site visits, and attend Public Information Meetings for various projects across the State of Georgia.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Southern Company computer systems and software, including LIMS 2.0, Primavera, TEAMS, P6, GIS, and Arc Map
- Ability to facilitate a meeting while effectively presenting, discussing and analyzing multitudes of data and opinions to reach a committee consensus
- Interpersonal skills to effectively establish and maintain customer relationships with a broad spectrum of internal and external customers

- Must have at least one year of verifiable driving experience (Must hold a valid driver’s license for the class vehicle to be operated. Driving permits are not typically considered a valid driver’s license).
- Must have no revocation of driving privileges within the 36 months prior to application, no convictions of major traffic violations (DUI, hit and run, reckless driving, etc.) within the 12 months prior to application, or any pending charges for a major traffic violation at the time of application.
