Gerard Daniel Worldwide, headquartered in Hanover PA, is seeking an organized and detail oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team.
Job Summary:
AS part of the finance department, the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for entering and coding AP invoices ensuring timely an accurate financial transaction, applying AR invoices, making AR collection calls, serving as backup to perform customer invoicing and receiving corporate correspondence and making sure they are disseminated properly to appropriate members of corporate team.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including payment verification, coding, and payment application.
- Conduct AR collection calls to follow up on overdue payments in a professional manner.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Backup invoicing clerk as needed for customer invoicing.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Assist with month-end closing tasks and provide support for audits.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and customers to address inquiries and resolve billing/payment issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with other administrative and accounting tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred).
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office and particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
