What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at Gerhard's Appliance?

Responsibilities
- Process daily invoicing for previous day’s installations and deliveries.
- Answer accounting team internal and customer calls for assistance.
- Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Daily receivables reconciliation
- Computes weekly payments for contractors.
- Reviews internal rebate submissions for approval as well as any inquiries
- Assist in the application and purchases of extended protection plans.
- Research and resolve customer inquiries regarding accounting issues in a timely fashion.
- Assist with other various office duties
Qualifications
- EXCEPTIONAL ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND ACCURACY!
- High level experience using Microsoft Excel (beginner to intermediate level)
- Strong math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with a high level of integrity and trustworthiness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous work experience on an accounting team is preferred
- A basic understanding of accounting practices and procedures
- Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
- High school diploma is required, associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
$19.00 to $22.00 per hour DOE
