Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN- Greenhouse Production
Hours: 26-30 hours a week (Evenings and weekends may be required)
Duration: This is a seasonal position with an expected end date of June 10th.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dock Handler to join our team. This position is essential to ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of products, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will work independently and collaboratively, adhering to safety protocols, and contribute to the smooth functioning of our operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely load and unload products from trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage.
Process inbound receiving, reconciliation, and warehousing tasks.
Perform basic inventory management and order staging.
Deliver and pick up goods using a 26' dock truck or cargo van.
Serve as a liaison between drivers and dispatchers.
Operate a forklift for inventory management and product handling.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, fleet, and shipping areas.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
Familiarity with the Twin Cities Metro area and surrounding locations.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse work environment.
Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Valid Minnesota driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
This is a safety-sensitive position requiring successful completion of pre-employment and random drug screenings.
Forklift certification is preferred, or ability to obtain certification upon employment.
Physical Requirements:
Constant movement, talking, hearing, reaching, and standing.
Frequent lifting of at least 50 lbs.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and indoors in various warehouse conditions.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be 18 years or older.
Successful completion of background check and drug test prior to employment.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
