Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate educational programming and instruction tailored for Early Childhood students.
- Facilitate engaging morning meetings utilizing an adapted Responsive Classroom model that promotes positive interactions.
- Create a warm and supportive classroom environment that encourages active learning and interaction.
- Contribute to lesson planning, execute educational activities, and evaluate student progress.
- Reflect on instructional effectiveness and implement adjustments to enhance student experiences.
- Remain up-to-date with required childcare training (15 hours of online training annually).
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a positive educational setting.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
- Serve as the Lead Teacher during brief absences, ensuring continuity in instruction.
- Communicate transparently with students, parents, fellow educators, and administrative staff.
- Utilize the Seesaw platform to share classroom insights with parents.
- Engage in school events, including Parents’ Night, Open Houses, and Parent/Teacher Conferences.
- Assist in various school programs and student activities as directed by the Lead Teacher.
- Pursue ongoing professional growth and development opportunities.
- Supervise students during outdoor play, Related Arts classes, nature walks, and lunch.
- Leverage technology for effective classroom instruction and remote learning interactions.
- Maintain accurate records including attendance and medical documentation.
- Complete mandatory annual HR training (e.g., CPR, first aid, and reporting).
- Uphold the school's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and multicultural education.
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate a profound passion for working with young children and a solid understanding of their developmental needs.
- Exhibit leadership capabilities in facilitating learning across diverse settings (whole group, small group, and individual).

- Possess foundational technology skills (iPad, iPhone applications, Google Suite, photo editing software, iMovie).
- Maintain excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience working with young children is preferred.
- This role primarily involves indoor classroom teaching with occasional field trips.
- Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend commitments may be necessary.
- Frequent travel between campus buildings may be required.
