You will engage in collaborative efforts with Special Education Teachers, Behavior Analysts, and other dedicated staff members to deliver exceptional support to students and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly implement ABA programs, ensuring compliance with each student’s IEP across both on-site and remote settings.
- Exhibit proficiency in Behavior Skills Training (BST) to effectively equip staff with behavior management techniques.
- Collaborate with the Special Education Teacher and Behavior Analyst to maintain current graphs via behavior analysis software, analyze trends, and report on IEP objectives as scheduled.
- Actively engage in the execution of baseline, treatment, and skill generalization, offering direct support to students as outlined in their Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
- Prepare the classroom and student workspaces for daily activities, ensuring all necessary materials are organized and ready.
- Manage safe and appropriate student transportation and guidance during activities.
- Implement emergency procedures and safety measures, adhering to certification standards in all required situations.
- Foster open communication with families, which may include providing translation assistance for conversations and written materials.
- Support students in community outings or vocational placements specified in their programs.
- Participate in relevant training sessions, whether in-person or remote, to enhance skills and knowledge continuously.
- Valid RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proficient multitasking skills and effective time management.
- Basic familiarity with computer systems and relevant software applications.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team framework.
- Required: RBT certification.
- Preferred: Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least one year of experience in implementing behavioral assessment and treatment programs for individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
