Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic, curriculum-aligned history lessons that accommodate both in-person and remote learning.
- Provide engaging instruction on campus two days per week and develop structured assignments for remote learning days.
- Offer virtual support through regular check-ins to ensure students’ academic progress during their home-based learning.
- Foster open communication with parents, supplying them with the necessary resources and feedback to aid in their child’s learning journey.
- Assist parents in creating effective home learning environments and conduct meetings to discuss student achievements and challenges as necessary.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to develop coherent lesson plans that integrate both in-person and remote experiences.
- Evaluate students’ work and offer timely, constructive feedback to support their learning needs.
- Maintain an inclusive and supportive learning environment, both physically and virtually, while establishing clear expectations for students.
- Engage in professional development activities and team collaborations to share effective strategies and enhance the overall educational experience.
- Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and capable of creating digital resources for online learning platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring professionalism at all times.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and committed to fostering student success in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education is a minimum requirement.
- ACSI Certification or a willingness to obtain it.
- 2-3 years of teaching experience, ideally in a hybrid, online, or blended learning context, with a preference for candidates experienced in Christian education.
- Familiarity with hybrid or remote learning technologies and instructional platforms is essential.
