Key Responsibilities: The Associate Teacher will:
- Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to design and implement developmentally suitable educational programs for Early Childhood students.
- Conduct morning meetings using an adapted Responsive Classroom approach, encouraging positive interactions among children, peers, and adults.
- Cultivate a supportive and interactive classroom environment that promotes effective learning.
- Continuously reflect on and evaluate the success of lesson plans, activities, and assessments.
- Supervise children in the classroom while supporting authentic assessment practices.
- Demonstrate flexibility by stepping in as the Lead Teacher during short-term absences (3 days or fewer).
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and a solid understanding of their developmental requirements.
- The ability to lead the classroom collaboratively and effectively.
- Attributes such as flexibility, empathy, high energy, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with basic technology tools, including iPad and iPhone applications, Google Suite, email, photo editing, and iMovie.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience working with young children is preferred.
