Remote Math Tutor | WFH for All Grade Levels

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Tutor to join our remote team, specializing in providing tailored educational support to students from Elementary through High School levels. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly influence students’ academic journeys through personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions, both online and in-person.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in various math disciplines, including algebra, geometry, algebra 2, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus.
• Quickly assess students’ proficiency levels to customize lesson plans that align with their individual learning needs.
• Assist students in preparing for tests, quizzes, and assignments, ensuring they develop confidence and competence.
• Encourage motivation and focus during tutoring sessions, while supporting homework and lesson comprehension.
• Reinforce classroom concepts to promote continuous academic advancement.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while collaborating with families and colleagues to support student success.
• Conduct in-person meetings at mutually agreed-upon locations, within a reasonable travel distance.
• Utilize virtual tools for online tutoring when necessary, offering flexibility to students.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active or retired NJ Standard Teaching Certification or NJ Special Education Certification.
• Comfort and experience in both in-person and virtual tutoring settings.
• Prior tutoring experience is preferred but not mandatory.
