Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions for students in grades 1-12, covering various math subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus based on individual student needs.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine each student's current academic level and customize lesson plans accordingly.
- Provide support in test preparation, assisting students to excel in quizzes, exams, and other academic assessments.
- Guide students in completing homework assignments while reinforcing concepts taught in their school curriculum.
- Maintain student motivation and focus throughout each tutoring session.
- Collaborate professionally with students, families, and colleagues to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Be flexible and willing to conduct sessions in person at mutually agreed locations when required.
- Travel locally for in-person tutoring sessions as necessary.
- Strong command of math concepts for grades 1-12.
- Ability to swiftly assess student levels and adapt lessons to meet their unique learning needs.
- Experience in providing effective homework help and test preparation assistance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering a motivating and engaging tutoring atmosphere.
- Capability to develop or follow lesson plans tailored to individual student requirements.
- Comfort with both in-person and virtual tutoring formats.
- A valid NJ Standard Teaching Certification or NJ Special Education Certification is mandatory.
