Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and healthy learning atmosphere by supervising children at all times.
- Promptly report accidents, thefts, and unusual incidents to the Program Director or Site Manager.
- Conduct daily health assessments of children and implement efficient pick-up and drop-off procedures.
- Foster positive interactions and relationships with children to enhance their learning and development.
- Collaborate with the educational team to design age-appropriate lessons and activities.
- Provide remote learning support and staff coverage as required.
- Employ age-appropriate guidance techniques to promote social and emotional growth among children.
- Build trusting relationships with families, encouraging parental involvement in the program.
- Maintain essential classroom supplies and materials to support a conducive learning environment.
- Implement lesson plans effectively and fulfill necessary documentation requirements, such as DRDP paperwork.
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting routines to maximize teachable moments while serving as a positive role model.
- Knowledgeable in Early Childhood Education and Child Development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with children and families.
- Adaptability and flexibility in teaching approaches.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) is highly valued.
- High school diploma is required.
- Experience and knowledge in Early Childhood Education and Child Development.
- Willingness to complete 12-21 units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development coursework as per the Child Development Permit Matrix System.
- Valid Associate Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, State of California.
