Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with Pennsylvania Early Standards, ensuring an engaging, child-centered learning experience.
• Cultivate a nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence, creativity, and respect among students.
• Actively engage children in activities that support listening and spoken language skills, enhancing their learning journey.
• Establish supportive relationships with parents, guiding them in their involvement in their child’s education and communication needs.
• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, educational audiologists, and other professionals to effectively support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining hearing assistive technologies, ensuring seamless integration into the classroom.
• Observe, document, and report on student progress, contributing to IEP meetings and maintaining open communication with families.
• Mentor classroom assistants, fostering a safe and effective learning atmosphere for all students.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Valid Pennsylvania Teacher Certificate in the relevant field or a commitment to obtain one.
• Pennsylvania State Clearances, including Child Abuse, FBI, and Criminal Background Check.
