Key Responsibilities
As a Substitute Teacher, you will:
- Prepare and present engaging, multi-disciplinary lessons tailored for a diverse student population in a self-contained classroom setting.
- Implement and oversee multiple-subject courses through the Canvas learning management system, ensuring accessibility and active engagement.
- Observe, evaluate, and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback on both online and in-class assignments.
- Timely grade assignments, tests, and projects and maintain an organized classroom gradebook within the Aeries student information system, adhering to recognized grading standards.
- Collaborate with the school counselor to guide students regarding employment opportunities, career pathways, and further educational options.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, assisting students in establishing and upholding standards for behavior and engagement.
- Develop and deliver culturally relevant lessons that cater to the needs of a diverse adult student demographic.
