Development Vice President - Remote

Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Development to spearhead our major gift and planned giving initiatives. This pivotal role allows you to lead a dedicated team of Development Directors, securing transformative gifts exceeding $100,000 while championing a mission that empowers vulnerable children to realize their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

As you report to the Chief Relationship Officer, you will:

• Formulate and execute strategies for donor cultivation to enhance major gift relationships.
• Mentor and guide Development Directors in reaching their objectives.
• Architect and oversee a major giving program centered around donor engagement and retention.
• Develop impactful donor stewardship initiatives to foster meaningful connections.
• Conduct thorough research on donor portfolios and identify prospective contributors.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives, sharing insights with the team.
• Assist in the preparation for the annual audit.
• Adapt strategies to leverage emerging opportunities.
• Travel internationally to support program initiatives, including two annual trips to Zambia (7-14 days each) and additional weeks for summer programs.

Qualifications
