Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Relationship Officer and be responsible for the following:
- Formulate and execute donor cultivation strategies to enhance relationships with major benefactors.
- Oversee and mentor Development Directors to help them achieve their fundraising objectives.
- Design and implement a comprehensive major giving program centered on donor engagement and retention.
- Develop stewardship initiatives that foster impactful connections with donors.
- Conduct thorough research on donor portfolios and identify potential new prospects.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns, sharing results with the team.
- Assist with preparations for the annual audit process.
- Adjust strategies to leverage emerging opportunities in the fundraising landscape.
- Participate in international travel to advance initiatives, including two annual trips to Zambia (lasting 7-14 days) and additional weeks for summer programs.
To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
- Proficiency in donor research tools and database management systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating diplomatic engagement.
- Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in major gift fundraising within the nonprofit sector.
