Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, Your Primary Duties Will Include

  • Reviewing project plans and interpreting drawings to evaluate inventory and fabrication requirements.
  • Assessing equipment availability and managing procurement processes to prevent scheduling conflicts.
  • Developing labor estimations for project setup and breakdown activities.
  • Establishing and tracking budgets related to labor, materials, and logistics.
  • Securing necessary permits and ensuring compliance with local building regulations.
  • Conducting pre-planning meetings and site visits to liaise with clients and vendors.
  • Arranging rental equipment, including forklifts, trucks, and scaffolding, ahead of each project.
  • Overseeing timelines and communicating updates to the Operations team.
  • Visiting job sites to verify that work progresses according to plans and quality standards.
  • Providing technical guidance to teams to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Managing inventory and ensuring all materials are accounted for accurately.
  • Maintaining and updating budgets to reflect real-time project progress.
  • Generating comprehensive weekly reports for large projects and communicating significant changes to senior management.
  • Documenting final project details to enhance efficiency in future projects.
  • Reconciling invoices and finalizing budgets in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing material allocation and ensuring proper return of rental equipment.
  • Conducting post-event evaluations to assess operational performance and identify potential improvements.
  • Creating as-built drawings for recurring projects to increase accuracy year over year.

Required Skills

Successful candidates will possess the following skills:

  • 3-5 years of project management and operational experience, preferably in construction, event production, or equipment rental.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of temporary structures, including clear span tents, mezzanines, and multi-level designs.
  • Familiarity with products from Höcker HTS, RÖDER, Losberger, or Velderman is advantageous.
  • Strong budgeting capabilities and proficient tracking of project expenses.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and work on-site as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general data management tools.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company vehicle requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management.
  • Strong understanding of temporary structures.
  • PMP certification is preferred, though not mandatory.
