Key Responsibilities
- Deliver crisis intervention services through both telephonic and in-person interactions.
- Evaluate the needs of individuals to guide appropriate referrals and service access.
- Conduct screenings for hospitalization and facilitate the transition to necessary care.
- Stay informed about community resources and refer clients accordingly.
- Maintain precise documentation of all clinical interactions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with families, clients, and professionals to provide holistic support.
- Work closely with the Crisis and Intake Program Coordinator for supervision and professional guidance.
- Proficient computer skills for effective documentation and data management.
- Ability to assess and diagnose mental health disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with community resources and referral processes is advantageous.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Active licensure in Kansas through the Behavioral Science Regulatory Board or Board of Nursing.
- At least one (1) year of post-degree experience in the mental health sector, including experience in assessment and diagnosis (preferred).
- Eligibility for Title XIX reimbursement is mandatory.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and capable of passing pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is required.
- Ability to perform job functions effectively, including computer tasks and travel to community agencies as needed.
