Key Responsibilities
- Deliver crisis intervention support via phone and in-person for individuals and families.
- Collect and analyze information to accurately determine the needs and preferences of clients for appropriate referrals.
- Execute hospitalization screenings and direct clients to community resources as necessary.
- Thoroughly document all clinical interventions undertaken.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals, both internally and externally.
- Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and clinical expertise in a fast-paced setting.
- Receive ongoing supervision from the Crisis and Intake Program Coordinator.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques.
- Strong communication capabilities.
- Competence in assessing and diagnosing mental health disorders.
- Basic computer literacy is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Dependability and adaptability in a high-energy environment.
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychiatric Nursing is required.
- Current licensure from the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board or Board of Nursing is necessary.
- A minimum of one (1) year of post-degree experience in mental health, particularly in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, is preferred.
- Eligibility for Title XIX reimbursement is required.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass background checks and a drug screening.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory.
- Must be capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the position, including data entry and occasional travel to community agencies.
