Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to strengthen our brand and reputation.
- Serve as the primary liaison for customer inquiries regarding equipment, quality, and service.
- Conduct thorough analysis of inventory usage, ensuring accurate purchases to minimize costs.
- Support the development of short- and long-term equipment procurement strategies.
- Utilize sound judgment in formulating daily operational strategies.
- Engage with service and repair vendors to facilitate accurate billing and damage rebilling processes.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all documentation accompanies invoices.
- Monitor and manage open service orders diligently.
- Supervise inbound and outbound inspections of equipment, ensuring proper handling of any damages.
- Oversee vendor management to guarantee compliance with policies and industry standards.
- Promote a safe and productive work environment by conducting regular safety meetings.
- Foster team development by clearly defining responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing budgets and deadlines.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong negotiation skills are advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a high-volume work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general internet applications.
- Experience operating a switcher/yard jockey is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management capacity, with a preference for backgrounds in semi-trailer maintenance, leasing, or fleet management, which can substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
