Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of post-release services cases, emphasizing family preservation and child welfare.
- Conduct detailed home studies to evaluate safety, risk, and placement appropriateness.
- Provide continuous case management, including assessments and psychoeducation for children and their sponsors.
- Collaborate with local resource providers to gather essential information for thorough evaluations.
- Utilize trauma-informed care and brief therapeutic techniques to cater to the needs of children and their families.
- Maintain consistent communication through virtual and in-person home visits.
- Ensure meticulous and secure documentation in accordance with program regulations.
- Act as a mandated reporter, addressing any signs of abuse or neglect.
- Engage in training sessions and quality improvement initiatives.
- Travel across the country for in-person visits, which may include evening and weekend commitments.
- Empathetic listening and the ability to ask insightful questions to understand clients' needs.
- Proficient in building trust with individuals from multifaceted backgrounds.
- Strong flexibility, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in case management.
- Competence in crafting detailed, professional assessment reports.
- Experience with immigrant populations and knowledge of trauma-informed care practices.
- Understanding of family preservation, kinship care, and child welfare policies.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (both verbal and written).
- Adeptness in Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationwide.
