Job Overview

We are looking for a driven and proactive Dairy Account Representative to join our fully remote team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead sales initiatives, cultivate client partnerships, and evaluate strategies aimed at enhancing sales performance and business expansion. We welcome self-motivated professionals with a background in commercial sales who are enthusiastic about establishing robust customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales director to meet regional sales targets and growth objectives.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation for product quotes and responses to RFPs.
  • Develop and oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring both growth and retention.
  • Discover new business prospects and formulate strategies to increase market penetration.
  • Analyze market data and generate reports to highlight areas ripe for growth.
  • Showcase a comprehensive understanding of market access opportunities and effective communication strategies to assist customers.
  • Support proposals, including addressing customer requests and delivering tailored presentations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including influencers, consultants, veterinarians, and dairies within the region.
  • Stay informed about both local and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and business partners to promote cooperative partnerships.
  • Offer recommendations for service enhancements and product improvements to elevate sales potential.
  • Manage and implement both immediate and long-term sales initiatives to secure desired sales outcomes.
  • Undertake special projects as required.

Required Skills

  • Preferred experience in sales within the dairy, animal health, or related sectors.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong customer service aptitude and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a results-focused mindset.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple client accounts effectively.
  • Experience in influencing stakeholders across various sectors, including veterinary, nutrition, and sales management.
  • Capacity to quickly grasp and communicate technical or scientific concepts.
  • Strong competencies in selling and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a competitive sales environment.
